Win-win

“Last week’s cover article (KoS August 14) described well how the development of a major windfarm off Kent has to be balanced with protecting our natural heritage.

However, to entitle the article “Jobs vs Birds” does not reflect how the RSPB or the developers, London Array Ltd, see the issue.

KoS readers will be pleased to know that, with regard to the London Array windfarm, nature conservation organisations and the developers are in constructive discussions and are hopeful of achieving an overall “win-win” situation where neither wildlife nor people lose out”
