Keeping the shipping and
fishing industries informed
We’re working closely with local and national organisations to minimise London Array’s impact on shipping activities in the outer Thames Estuary during construction and operations. Regular update notices are issued to:
- Local fisheries
- Port of London Authority
- Maritime and Coastguard Agency
- Ramsgate & Thanet Port Control
- DEFRA, MMO & CEFAS
- UK Hydrographic Office & Trinity House
- Ramsgate Lifeboat Services.
The update notices include details of our current activities and whereabouts in the Estuary we’ll be working, as well as information about the vessels being used. Before offshore construction started we issued these notices montly, now offshore construction is underway they are issued every week. You can download the latest notice below:

Change of chartered depths – Kentish Flats and Britned Crossings
At the cable crossing with Kentish Flats and Britned rocks have been placed to protect the cables. The placement of the rocks has changed the chartered depth at these crossing. Information has been circulated on the change of depths to sea users via the RYA and to those people who received our notice of operations. For more information please click here.
We’ve produced a Kingfisher information flyer, which includes useful information for mariners including key construction activities and dates, details of advisory safety zones and pictures of the vessels we’ll use. Click here to download the flyer.
