We’re working closely with local and national organisations to minimise London Array’s impact on shipping activities in the outer Thames Estuary during construction and operations. Regular update notices will be issued to:

  • Local fisheries
  • Port of London Authority
  • Maritime and Coastguard Agency
  • Ramsgate & Thanet Port Control
  • DEFRA, MMO & CEFAS
  • UK Hydrographic Office & Trinity House
  • Ramsgate Lifeboat Services.

The update notices include details of our current activities and whereabouts in the Estuary we’ll be working, as well as information about the vessels being used. Before offshore construction started we issued these notices montly, now offshore construction is underway they are issued every week. You can download the latest notice below:

Subsea rock installation (SRI) activities

The SRI work consists of post-lay rock installation on the HV2 export cable at crossings with Kentish Flats Offshore Wind Farm export cables and the crossing with the BritNed interconnector cable.  For more information about this activity and to download the notice to mariner, issued on Tuesday 6 December, click here.
