First tier suppliers to construct the first 630MW phase of the project were announced in December 2009 following our call for tenders for the main supply packages.

Onshore construction started in July 2009 and offshore construction is scheduled to start in early 2011. Generation is expected to start before the end of 2011 and phase one completed by the end of 2012.
