London Array is disappointed with the decision by Swale Borough Council to refuse planning permission for the substation at Cleve Hill, despite the planning officers’ recommendation for approval, which sets back efforts to develop the most advanced and largest of the new generation of offshore wind farms.

The London Array consortium members remain committed to this very significant project. We are now considering our next steps. Meanwhile, we continue our work in support of the other consents needed for the offshore elements of the project.
